Dr Leat Keynote Speaker on Tixel at Cosmedicon

Dr Leat Keynote speaker on Tixel Treatment at Cosmedicon Sydney

Last weekend I flew down to Sydney – not for the Mardi Gras but for a conference.

It was quite exciting to leave Queensland and take a flight – both for the first time in a couple of years.

Who would have thought!

I was honoured to be asked to present at Cosmedicon – one of the main Cosmetic Medicine conferences in Australia. My talk was on Tixel – the heat based treatment we use for skin tone and texture – and the great results we have been getting on our patients with it, with little downtime.

Tixel is still quite new to the Australian cosmetic market, and many doctors have not heard about it and were very interested in how and why it works.

I always find these conferences interesting. I like catching up with other experienced Cosmetic Doctors from around Australia that I have known for over 20 years, and discussing what we are doing, how we are doing it, what works and what doesn’t work.

For one thing it’s good to know that, at Envisage, we are still offering the latest in treatments and achieving industry standard or better results for our patients.

In addition you find out what is new and “coming soon”. There are new dermal fillers on the way this year – including Profhilo. Profhilo is a completely new type of filler, designed to improve skin texture over a wide area. It is expected to be especially useful for difficult areas like the neck.

In addition there are new face lifting threadlifts now available that look simple and effective. As many of you know I have not been a fan of the current thread lifts available – I simply find that they do not work well or give long term results or value for money.

These new threads look more cost effective and stronger. I have some research to do, but I feel quite confident that Envisage will soon be able to offer threadlifts that work.

As soon as any new treatments or products are available I will be blogging about them and discussing them in our email newsletters, so please look out for updates coming this year.

As always, consultations at Envisage are complimentary or bulk billed – so you can come in and discuss this or any other concern free of charge and obligation free. Book in today by calling (07) 5539 4000
