Tixel Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Gold Coast
TIXEL – A NEW TREATMENT AT ENVISAGE
Everyone constantly asks me “What’s new? What’s the latest advance?”
Generally, I reply that there is nothing new happening at the moment – just tweaks and changes in how we implement our treatments. I don’t believe there has been anything that new or exciting for some time. Even treatments such as HIFU, touted as new, is old technology and I believe generally gives minimal results for significant cost and pain.
But Tixel is new, – and I am very excited to have it at Envisage Clinic.
You can find out more about this exciting treatment on this page.

What is Tixel?
Tixel is a novel, non-ablative fractional skin rejuvenation system. It applies pure heat at 400 degrees to the skin’s surface via a diamond patterned titanium tip.
Tixel can treat delicate facial skin – including periorbital skin, eyelids, the neck and décolleté. It can be applied safely and quickly, with low pain and 0-2 days downtime. Tixel is fractionated, employs direct heat, and is radiation-free. It can be used in different ways.
At high settings, it has a similar effect to a fractional C02 or Erbium laser – but causes much less discomfort, results in much less downtime, and carries a lower risk.
At medium settings, it works like a light fractionated laser – but with minimal or no downtime. It can be used on the face, neck, or any other area of the body.
At gentle settings, it can be used around the eyes and even on the eyelids themselves. Posing no hazard to the eyes, we can provide treatments right up close to the lashes on the top and bottom lids.
Tixel can also be used to “open up the channels” in the skin. Combined with active skin care ingredients, this gives us an effective treatment for pigmentation, melasma, and other skin conditions. For the first time, we have an active treatment that allows us to target melasma and pigmentation conditions.

Benefits of Tixel
First and foremost, Tixel has an excellent safety profile. There is no light or laser involvement, so there is zero risk to the eyes and no burning, charring or risk of blister, bruise, or scarring. Tixel is virtually pain-free. Topical anaesthetic cream is needed for stronger treatments only.
Tixel involves much less downtime than most treatments. There may be some redness and dryness of the skin afterwards – depending on the individual, the settings used, and the area treated. Most people will be able to go about their normal activities and put make up on the day after the treatment. Tixel can be repeated every month as required for cumulative results.
Tixel can be combined with active prescription skin care to effectively treat melasma, hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation (loss of pigment). Tixel can be easily combined with anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, and IPL for a complete rejuvenation package.
