Cosmelan Treatment Gold Coast
Cosmelan Treatment – Now available AT ENVISAGE Clinic
Uneven pigmentation, and especially melasma, is a condition that plagues many women.
It is especially common here in Queensland – we see many patients who come from other hot climates around the World, who tell us that it was when they came to Australia that their skin really became problematic.
Melasma is a hormonal pigment that looks often like a coffee stain and particularly affects the forehead, cheeks and top lip.
It is especially common in darker skin types.
Melasma is a difficult condition to treat effectively and especially so in darker skins that are harder to treat with laser and light based therapies.
At Envisage Clinic, we use a variety of non-prescription as well as medical grade, prescription-only skin care for melasma and pigment issues, IPL, peels and Cosmelan peels and products.
The Cosmelan ® Depigmentation peel originated in Spain and is designed to reduce skin discolouration and hyperpigmentation. It is particularly effective on melasma and Lentigo pigment, and is safe for all skin types, from light skins to very dark skins. Cosmelan ® is the World’s leading depigmentation method with over a million treatments performed worldwide to date.

What is Cosmelan?
The cosmelan® method has been designed to reduce the appearance of blemishes caused by excess melanin .
- Induces a quick brightening action.
- Highly effective for all kinds of skin blemishes (melasma, chloasma, senile blemishes, pregnancy blemishes, sunspots, blemishes due to oral contraceptives, etc)
- The cosmelan® method can be initiated at any time of year, provided the patient uses the mesoprotech melan 130 pigment control on a daily basis, so as to permit exposure to the sun without negative effects on the blemishes being treated
- Very importantly cosmelan® is compatible with any skin phototype, allowing us to treat all skin colours.
During the first or second week of cosmetic treatment using the cosmelan® method, the skin will already show a substantial improvement.
Blemishes being treated will tend to diminish and simultaneously the skin will start to show a brighter and rejuvenated appearance
In 99% of cases involving blemishes or abnormal hyperpigmentation of epidermal origin, the blemish elimination process achieved a 95% efficacy rate
This cosmetic treatment comprises two phases: the first to be applied in clinic by our Dermal Therapists, and the second maintenance program to be applied at home.
