Envisage Clinic Re-Opening

Client Alert — Tailored Skin Care Treatments in Benowa, QLD

After a tremendous amount of research, consultation, and discussion, we are super excited to announce that Envisage Clinic will re-open.

We have been busy this week organising protocols and arranging the clinic so that we are complying with best practice guidelines as currently advised by The College of Cosmetic Physicians and I am confident that this is a safe and correct time to take this step.

This is in light of the low level of COVID-19 infection in the Gold Coast population and the continued relaxation of Government restrictions.

FAQ

Why/how/should you be open?

As a medical clinic we were actually never mandated to close. We did so out of the ethical, moral and social obligations to ensure that we did not contribute to the spread of the Covid virus.

Health Minister Greg Hunt, MP has made this very clear in his statements.

At the present time there are very low levels of community acquired Covid-19 on the gold Coast, which we feel allows us to re-open in a limited way whilst observing Covid-19 protocols.

We have done so only after careful consideration and discussions with our medico-legal experts and the Australian College of Cosmetic Physicians.

We will be monitoring the situation closely and will respond in an appropriate way in the future – including the possibility of closing the clinic again in the event of an increase in Covid-19 cases in the community

How do I know if staff at the clinic, including the doctor has COVID19?

Staff who are known contacts of COVID19 positive patients are required by law to self-isolate at home.

Staff with symptoms of fever, cough and fatigue are required not to attend work and to undergo Covid-19 testing

Should I let the clinic know if I am unsure about people I have been in contact with?

Yes, you should. A determination of each circumstance will be assessed by the medical practitioner.

Is it absolutely safe to have cosmetic medical procedures at this time?

It is safe to the extent possible comparable to going to similar places where social distancing disciplines are observed.

Will cosmetic injections make me more susceptible to COVID19 virus infection?

There is no evidence that cosmetic procedures make patients who are otherwise well more susceptible to disease processes, including COVID19.

If I develop side effects from my cosmetic medical procedure, how do I know if they are not related to COVID19?

Side effects from cosmetic medical procedures are different to the effects of COVID19 which are primarily shortness of breath, persistent cough, and fever.

If I develop a fever, a cough or feel unwell after visiting the clinic, what should I do?

It is essential that you advise the clinic should these symptoms develop as soon as they occur after your attendance.

Will I be able to contact someone at the clinic after my procedure if I have any questions?

Yes. You will have contact details, including after-hours contacts, provided to you, or simply call the office number and a recorded message will provide information on contact details.
